Usage Requirement: Work performed in this cage shall be limited to special tasks of short duration where it is necessary to elevate personnel and it is not practicable to erect scaffolding or use a specially designed device.

Mandatory AS 1418.17 Requirement: Suspension sling sets must be supplied as an integral component of a personnel crane cage. A cage without dedicated chains or slings does not comply with the stated Australian Standards and Design Registration requirements and should not be considered for hoisting personnel.
